Julie was asked by senior management within the Cosmetics and Fragrance division to project manage the implementation of COSMOS - an in house designed, strategic order-shipping-billing system to enable maximum flexibility and availability of product supply to a variety of national and standalone retailers.

Working with team members from IT, Sales and Product Supply Julie managed the scope, time and cost of activities to achieve implementation to a fixed timetable required by the licence expiry of the incumbent system. Her operational management experience enabled her to ensure that the necessary programming changes to meet business needs were included in the Final Specification of the system requirements design.

This required a great deal of persuasion and tenacity as the IT programming resource was limited. The implementation saw a seamless start up with last of the orders from the old system shipped out on the day before implementation, and orders being successfully processed through the new system from Day 1.
